The headlines have been countlessly covering hacks of corporates and government bodies... Yet despite this it seems some businesses just haven’t quite gotten around to putting even the most basic security into place.
The lack of the most simplest security left the Bangladesh bank with a significant hole in their pocket. The hackers were able to take control of the bank's network, steal credentials for a messaging system and then use malware to attack the computers used to authorise transactions.
